Local Policing Summary for 2010 (PDF 3405k) 09-Sep-10

The Authority has joined forces with Norfolk County Council to publish the Local Policing Summary for 2010 in the September edition of its ‘Your Norfolk’ magazine.

The Local Policing Summary aims to report back to Norfolk’s communities on how well their police force has performed over the last year, as well as providing information about priority objectives set for the next 12 months. The Summary also highlights key Police Authority news, and opportunities to get involved and help shape the policing service received by the people of Norfolk.

In line with our position that standards of conduct for Members and Staff of the NPA are important, and to match current requirements of the Standards for England oversight body, the NPA's Ethical Standards Committee monitors performance in this area.  This is it's 2nd Annual Report.  (nb this should not be confused with our oversight of standards/conduct in the Constabulary.  This is discharged through the Professional Standards and HR Committee)

Within the Police Authority Equality Schemes, covering Disability, Gender and Race, there is a requirement to undertake statistical monitoring regarding the recruitment of staff, officers and volunteers to ensure equality of opportunity.   These statistics cover recruitment in the Financial Year 2009/2010.

The Government requires police authorities to produce local policing summaries and to make arrangements for them to be distributed to every household in Norfolk. This year, in collaboration with Norfolk County Council, we have included the information within their 'Your Norfolk' magazine.
