- Fleet;
- Uniforms and Personal Equipment;
- Such other costs that fall within the Capital Programme;
- Environment and sustainability;
and any other scrutiny matters of interest to the Committee and Authority.
- Professional Standards & Human Resources Committee
-
The purpose of this committee is to exercise the Police Authority's powers and duties in respect of Professional Standards and Human Resources matters and to hold the Constabulary to account for the discharge of its responsibilities, thus helping to ensure the maintenance of an efficient and effective police force overall. This will be achieved by instigating procedures designed to monitor and scrutinise existing or planned policies, practices and performance of the Force, both at a corporate and local level.
- Ethical Standards Committee
-
The purpose of this committee is to promote and maintain high standards of conduct of Members and to help Members to follow the Code of Conduct, and to act as an appellate body in relation to complaints against officers of the Norfolk Police Authority.
The Committee's membership includes three lay Independent Members - Stephen Revell, Bridgid Everitt and Richard Middleton - one of which must be the Chair of the Committee. The Chair is currently Bridgid Everitt.
- Performance and Engagement Committee (formerly Citizen Focus Committee)
-
The purpose of this committee is to work with the Constabulary and other partners to ensure the needs and expectations of individuals and local communities are reflected in police decision-making, service delivery and policy. To monitor and scrutinise the Chief Constable's performance in delivering the police service in general. To ensure the Authority's statutory responsibilities with regard to community engagement and equality are maintained and developed. To oversee the Police Authority's duties for the maintenance and operation of a scheme for the independent inspection of custody facilities and the welfare of detained persons.
