Financial Matters
Norfolk Police Authority's principal responsibility is to maintain an efficient and effective police service. The Authority agrees the police budget for the year and our Members regularly scrutinise details of how that budget is spent. Members and officers work in accordance with the high standards set out in the Authority's Corporate Governance policy.
Finance
The Authority is responsible for approving and monitoring the annual police budget and setting the policing element of the local Council Tax.
Governance
Governance is about how police authorities ensure that they are doing the right things in the right way in an open and accountable manner.
Value For Money
The Authority is committed to ensuring that Norfolk's residents receive value for money from the service provided by the county's police.
